24 Books in 2024

Bloganuary writing prompt
What books do you want to read?

We are kicking off the year strong with some incredible books so far. 2023 was an amazing year of reading for me; however, when I look back, I noticed some things that I would like to change in 2024.

This year, I want to be more intentional about the books I’m reading. I had a tendency to read the books that were “trending” last year–even if those were books that I personally did not enjoy. I would “suffer through it” and just finish the book, rather than listen to my gut and put it away. Because of this, I ended up reading a lot of books I didn’t like very much just for the sake of reading a book everyone else was reading.

This year, I would love to read a combination of fantasy, classics, and nonfiction.

Here are 24 books that I hope to read in 2024:

1.) “Heir of Fire” (Throne of Glass Series) by Sarah J. Maas

2.) “Queen of Shadows” (Throne of Glass Series) by Sarah J. Maas

3.) “Empire of Storms” (Throne of Glass Series) by Sarah J. Maas

4.) “Tower of Dawn” (Throne of Glass Series) by Sarah J. Maas

5.) “Kingdom of Ash” (Throne of Glass Series) by Sarah J. Maas

6.) “Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries” by Heather Fawcett

7.) “Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherworlds” by Heather Fawcett

8.) “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis

9.) “The Four Loves” by C.S. Lewis

10.) “House of Earth and Blood” (Crescent City Series) by Sarah J. Maas

11.) “House of Sky and Breath” (Crescent City Series) by Sarah J. Maas

12.) “House of Flame and Shadow” (Crescent City Series) by Sarah J. Maas

13.) “Home” by Marilynne Robinson

14.) “Hinds’ Feet on High Places” (Reread) by Hannah Hurnard

15.) “Captivating” (Reread) by John and Stasi Eldredge

16.) “Wild at Heart” by John Eldredge

17.) “Sense and Sensibility” by Jane Austen

18.) “Persuasion” by Jane Austen

19.) “Mansfield Park” by Jane Austen

20.) “Great Expectations” by Charles Dickens

21.) “Tress of the Emerald Sea” by Brandon Sanderson

22.) “The Starless Sea” by Erin Morgenstern

23.) “Six of Crows” by Leigh Bardugo

24.) “Crooked Kingdom” by Leigh Bardugo

I’m very excited about this list! I can’t wait to dive in. This month, I am currently reading “Heir of Fire” and “Captivating”. I love reading a chapter of “Captivating” before bed. I can’t wait to write a review of this book once I am finished with it. For now, just know that I truly believe it’s a book everyone should read!
